Peace
When I think of peace, I think of people living and enjoying their lives without worrying about dangers that someone else can put on you. Peace is something that is rare in the world. However, during 9/11 peace was brought between everyone everyone on the United States. People from all kinds of different backgrounds, different colors, different origins came together to help each other. I love to play baseball; ever since I was 4 years old and when I think of peace, I think of me playing, without a care in the world. No matter what was bothering me or something that was bad that had happened, I could always enjoy a few hours of doing what I love with my friends. Not very many things brought me greater peace than that. When I think of peace I think of families and friends together, enjoying each others company and enjoying life. Some families are unfortunate to be in situations where peace may not exist in a family, but it is something that everyone should have and experience because it gives a sense of security that you will always have family and friends behind you in life.

I agree with you in the part where you said that peace is rare in the world. A lot is going on in this world that it seems as if it will never end. Yet, peace can be started by each one of us by doing a single act of kindness.
ReplyDeletePeace is something that makes you happy an to you is baseball and that is the best part that you have that because others don't have that.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea that your form of peace is something that you like to do as a hobby and it's your own state of peace as an individual and it's not just based on peace for the world, but as your own.
ReplyDelete2/25/11 Reading Christians "peace blogs" It was kind of hard to read at the start because he chose a dark background and a dark font to write his entry so it was difficult to read. However, he talks about peace being like a stress reilever when he goes and plays sports, such as baseball. I can relate to that becaus eI also play sports (basketball in particular) and it helps take things off my mind doing what I love to do around people I love to be around. Slowly the world is becoming a better place like Christian said with all different kinds of races are not enemies anymore and that all leads to peace.
ReplyDeleteI think you are right everyone has their own idea of peace. However I think that we can agree up on the fact that if we all find what gives us true peace then we might be able to make a difference. All great change begins with ones self. I like that you found that which makes you at peace with yourself because if you are at peace with yourself chances are that you might make peace with the world. If we all do this then who knows we might make this a peaceful world.
ReplyDeleteThe simple things in life are the best. Peace within a family is all that is needed to expiernce what real peace is.
ReplyDeletei do feel that playing some sort of sport or doing an activity you find comforting and enjoyable it definaelty plays a factor in ones peace of mind.
ReplyDeleteWell first of all I love the background! GO YANKEES :) but back to your post, i couldn't agree more, doing what you love and being around the people you love couldn't bring a person more happiness and peace. The get togethers with my family i can say are the happiess moments in my life. When you can truely do somthing that allows you to never have a care in the world is when i think true personal peace can be found.
ReplyDeletebro honestly i think out of all the ones i read i enjoed this one because you related it to sports. being a college athlete it gets really competitive but even with all the yelling and frustration of the games when im losing i still feel so much at peace while im on the field because i truly enjoy and love playing football
